LiveBPM is a free mobile app for iOS and Android that detects the tempo of any music in real-time. Point your phone's microphone at a speaker, live band, or instrument, and LiveBPM instantly displays the BPM with decimal precision across a range of 30–285 BPM.
Under the hood, the app captures 12-second audio buffers, resamples them to 11.025 kHz, generates log-mel spectrograms, and runs a 256-class neural network classifier with parabolic interpolation — all powered by TensorFlow and processed entirely on-device. Your audio never leaves your phone: no server uploads, no recording, no account required.
